Preparing deployment to gh-pages without pushing

Gunnar Morling-2
Hi,

I'm doing deployments to GitHub pages as described in [1] and am looking for a way to skip the actual push to the upstream repo.

This would give me the chance to review the created commit before pushing it manually then. So I'm basically looking for something like the option "pushChanges=false" when doing a "mvn release:prepare". Is there something comparable in awestruct?

Thanks,

--Gunnar

Dan would know better since he is more familiar with the GitHub Pages stuff, but my first reaction is to say, no there isn't an option like that yet, you're certainly welcome to add one though :)

Thanks for the info. I also had a look into github_pages_deploy.rb now and indeed there is no option for this.

I've created https://github.com/awestruct/awestruct/issues/305 to track this request and hope to find some time to look into it.

I agree, this would be a nice feature. I've needed it a few times myself.
